A new skyline

The Dublin dockland is characterized by a uniformity of the skyline and large building volumes.

With playfulness, we broke down both the skyline and the volumes to a more human scale and introduced a diversity of expression. 

With more than 15 different building designs, the challenge was to achieve a harmonious result balancing diversity and unity of design

Materiality

The building design is unified by the use of bricks in combination with different window framing, balcony details, pointing, and metal colors.

The two closed city blocks were opened up to create long views of the river as well as deep sunlight penetration into the quarter.
