In order to improve the internal connections, we have designed a new type of atrium space. This space combines a high level of natural light with a more intimate scale that promotes a sense of connection.
The goal for Spektrum was to develop a building that serves as a hub for meetings and commerce in Ebbepark, and that anticipates the future needs of work and life.
Spektrum is constructed with a focus on sustainability and in compliance with environmental building standards. The materials used in the building were carefully selected to promote indoor air quality. The building utilizes ground source heat pumps, storage, and a heating and cooling system that is shared with other buildings on the Ebbepark property.
Additionally, a portion of the building's electricity is generated by solar panels installed on the roof. The goal for the entire Ebbepark development is to achieve 20% less energy consumption compared to current Swedish regulations.
The design of the building utilizes multiple volumes to foster a sense of community, similar to that of a village. This approach encourages internal and external movement and visual connections between the different volumes and functions. Each building functions as its own community, and together all the buildings create a larger, interconnected community.
The building is intended to connect people through its social spaces, promoting collaboration and development among the co-working tenants.
